Stack Bond Paver Pattern
Stack bond aligns every joint in a continuous grid. It is the most contemporary layout, ideal for large-format plaza and terrace fields where the grid itself is the design. It offers the least mechanical interlock, so it belongs on pedestrian surfaces.

Design notes
Keep stack bond for pedestrian areas and use large units — the crisp grid depends on tight, consistent joints and a very flat base.
Laying and waste
Pattern choice changes labor and waste before it changes anything else. Straight rectangular fields run about 5% waste; diagonals, curves and borders push that to 10% or more. Confirm the unit's true (actual) dimensions rather than the nominal size when planning the layout.
